For over 20 years, Amphenol InterCon Systems has been designing and building standard and custom high density and high speed interconnection systems that meet or exceed customer requirements. Standard product offerings include innovative high speed, high density, high reliability connector, cable and flex assembly products.
IR reflow, wave solder, and hot bar reflow solder processes yield high capacity, high quality assembly capability. These production areas are used to solder connectors to cables, flex circuits, and circuit boards. Our development assembly area allows us to respond quickly to new design requirements with testable product in as little as 2 weeks.
Flexible manufacturing systems enable us to modify standard products and develop new products quickly and at an affordable cost.
Amphenol InterCon application engineers work closely with our customers from design through production to help optimize the cost / performance of interconnect designs.
A complete in house model shop is staffed with experienced toolmakers who support new development needs as well as ongoing production needs for connectors, assemblies and manufacturing processes.
Electrical spice modeling of connectors and high speed cable assemblies allows Amphenol InterCon to simulate electrical performance of the interconnection system during the design stage. This simulation is capable of modeling systems with operating speeds down to 50 ps risetime.
Our electrical and mechanical test labs verify initial product design and monitor product performance through the production cycle.
Other specialized production process technologies include:
- Precision laser stripping and welding of wire as small as 50 awg for applications such as medical thermocouples and micro miniature cable assemblies.
- Resistance welding of assemblies when the material requirements or other design constraints don't allow solder terminations.
